Avail advised Radiant Opto-Electronics Corporation on the acquisition of Nanocomp

Nanocomp is a Finnish company engaged in the manufacturing of micro- and nano-structured films for consumer electronics. Nanocomp's production method is based on UV roll-to-roll imprinting with in-house UV lacquer. Key technologies including optical design and direct laser lithography enable Nanocomp to produce complex freeform microstructures.

Radiant Opto-Electronics Corporation is a publicly-listed Taiwanese corporation and the largest backlight unit assembly company in the world. The acquisition will integrate the micro- and nano-photonics technology of Nanocomp with the lightguide product manufacturing at Radiant Opto-Electronics.
