Risto specializes in corporate and commercial disputes. He has for over ten years acted as counsel for corporations in litigation and arbitration proceedings. Risto regularly represents clients in various construction, contractual, and ICT disputes. He represents clients also in insolvency, insurance, and criminal proceedings as well as in disputes relating to labour law, international trade, and tort liability.
Risto has considerable experience in arbitral proceedings conducted under the ICC and the FAI Rules as well as in ad hoc proceedings in different venues of arbitration. In addition, his practice covers dispute avoidance and strategic advisory work in conflict situations.
Before founding Avail Attorneys Ltd, Risto was a partner in a boutique business law firm and before that worked at major law firms’ dispute resolution teams for more than ten years.
